A Good Health Foundation We are a Christian biblically based consulting center. We believe in healing the whole person: spirit, soul, and body. We provide spiritual, emotional, and nutritional counseling and consultation. Gary Lee Pyles, loving husband, father and grandpa went on to be with his Lord in heaven on August 2, 2024 at the age of 77 in Surprise, Arizona. Gary was born at Hamilton Field Air Force Base, California on March 1, 1947 to Max and Beverly Pyles. Being in a military family, he lived in Japan during the Korean War and finally settled on a farm in eastern Washington for 8 years. Later his family lived in Montana, South Dakota, Missouri and Gary, Indiana, where he graduated from high school. He attended Grand Rapids Baptist Bible College in Michigan, where he met his wife Bonnie and received his Bachelors of Religious Education degree in 1969. Gary and Bonnie were married on August 19, 1967 in St. Johns, Michigan. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1970 where they raised three sons, David, Patrick and Jeremy and two daughters, Teresa and Esther. |
Gary got his private pilot’s license in 1971 and enjoyed flights with the family and with the sheriff’s posse. He went through the carpentry apprenticeship and became a journeyman carpenter, eventually starting his own construction business, doing display work. After a heart attack at age 53, he went into natural health and formed his own online business and taught health classes. At 68 years of age, he went back to school and got his Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in 2016 and was ordained as a minister. He enjoyed the last few years helping people through counseling with his book, GPS God’s Parameters for Success. He is preceded in death by his parents, Max Deforest Pyles and Beverly (Victor) Pyles. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his five children, David (wife Erin), Patrick, Teresa, Esther (husband Thom) and Jeremy (wife Brittney), 6 grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Elgin (wife Margie), Keith Pyles (wife Sandy), and his sister Valeeta Cisneros (husband Ernie). A memorial service will be held on August 23, 2024 at Skyway Church in Goodyear, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MAF, Mission Aviation Fellowship which Gary supported for many years. |
